On August 15 2022, India celebrated the completion of 75 years of independence. This day is
celebrated to remember the struggle that the freedom fighters fought to achieve the
independence of our country. Due to this long struggle by our ancestors, India became a
sovereign and democratic nation. This year, the government of India has organised several
events under 'Azadi ka Amrit Mohatsav', with the theme 'Nation First, Always First'. The
Prime Minister of India asked us to hoist our national flag in every home as part of “Har Ghar
Tiranga” campaign.
Like every year, this year also, our college celebrated Independence Day on 15 August 2022
with great joy and pomp. A flag hoisting ceremony was arranged in the college at 9.00 am.
On that day the sense of happiness and pride could be clearly seen on the faces of all the
students and staffs. Our principal Dr. John Joseph sir hoisted the national flag followed by the
national anthem sung with great pride and patriotism. Chocolates were distributed to share
the happiness.
In connection with Independence Day celebration, a slogan writing competition was
organised with the theme “Patriotism”. Total 12 students participated in the slogan writing
competition and Mariya John, Silna Benny students of B.Pharm 2018 and Sooraj M.S of
B.Pharm 2021 were declared as winners of the competition.
