International women’s day (Theme: “Choose to Challenge”) is celebrated around the globe to showcase commitment to gender equality and to celebrate women’s achievements. Lisie College of Pharmacy witnessed the celebration of International Women’s Day on 08/03/2021. The program was organized in collaboration with IMA Woman Doctor’s Wing, Kochi chapter. The event started with a prayer song by the 1^st semester B.Pharm students and was followed by a welcome address by Mrs. Gayatri R Panicker, Assistant Professor, Lisie College of Pharmacy. Dr. Jinu Issac, Professor, Lisie College of Pharmacy felicitated the gathering. Mrs. Anitha Abraham, Senior Lecturer, Lisie College of Pharmacy introduced the speaker. A talk on “Gender equality in daily life” was delivered by Dr. Sheeja Srinivas, Medical Officer, Kerala Govt. Health Services & Chairperson, WDW, IMA Kochi. Dr. Sheeja Srinivas also emphasized the importance of women’s hygiene and nutrition. Amina T E (1st-semester B.Pharm) delivered the vote of thanks. The program came to an end by 4:15 pm.
