National Pharmacy Week (2024)

National Pharmacy Week (2024) @Lisie College of Pharmacy The National Pharmacy Week 2024 celebration, themed “Think Health, Think Pharmacy,” was celebrated at Lisie College of Pharmacy. National Pharmacy Week is an annual event that recognizes the role of pharmacists in healthcare systems and raises awareness about their contributions. It is celebrated in the third week of November and is led by the Indian Pharmaceutical Association. Pharmacists are the most accessible primary healthcare professionals who support health and wellbeing. This significant event acknowledges the vital role pharmacists play in healthcare, and our college is proud to be a part of this commemoration. On behalf of the NPW Celebration, Lisie College of Pharmacy has organized and conducted a series of engaging programs to promote pharmacy awareness and showcase the expertise of our students and faculties. We have started our events on November 20 with a scientific session on the topic “Fundamentals of AI in Pharmacy.” With an expertise presentation from Dr. Bobby Johns G, Prof. & HOD of St. Joseph’s College of Pharmacy, Cherthala. The session was chaired and moderated by Ms. Jooly Kurien, Associate Professor, LCP. It was really an insightful presentation about AI in pharmacy. On day 2, Nov. 21, we had an expert interaction session carried out by Ms. Mary Saniya K S, Pharmacist Lisie Hospital, regarding the topic “Essential tips for accurate, safe dispensing in pharmacy.” The session was chaired and moderated by Dr. Anupriya Mahesh, Assoc. Prof LCP. Students have a real expert explanation regarding their questions. On day 3, Nov. 22, we had a scientific session on the topic “Basics of NMR spectroscopy,” which has been well explained and executed by our beloved Prof. Dr. Manojkumar. The session was chaired and moderated by Ms. Sojimol K. Johhny, Assistant Professor, LCP. With this session, students have got to know the basics and idea of NMR spectroscopy, which is very much needed for their professional benefits in the future. The same day there was an official inauguration ceremony done by Rev. Fr. Davis Padannakal, Assistant Director, LMEI. Prof.Dr. Jinu Isaac and Prof.Dr. Manojkumar also felicitated the gathering. On Day 4, that is Nov 23, we had an expert interaction session from Dr. Prashanth S., Assistant Professor, CPS Gov.Medical College Alapuzha, who gave an insightful talk about “Journey to GPAT Success.” Tools and tactics for top scores.” The session was chaired and moderated by Ms. Remya Dev Renjith, Asso. Professor. On behalf of NPW 2024, other than these expert talks and sessions to make it more engaging and entertaining, we have also organized various competitions and cultural events for the students, and their active participation is making the overall celebration more delightful. The various competitions happening are MedReels, Innovative study tips, Cooking without Flame, Treasure Hunt, etc. There was a class-wise cultural presentation from students in the afternoon of November 24th, and with that, we have wrapped up our National Pharmacy Week celebration 2024.
